An Important Bill Waiting on Signature by Gov. Phil Murphy

The New Jersey Legislature has passed A3717, dealing with reimbursement transparency. The bill prohibits arbitrary, retroactive reimbursement adjustments; makes MAC transparency laws applicable to all reimbursement methodologies (e.g., generic effective rate); prohibits a PBM from requiring accreditation standards that are more stringent than the state’s standards; and protects a pharmacy’s ability to offer delivery services. The bill is headed to Gov. Phil Murphy (D) for his signature. Even though this is an important victory for independent pharmacies across the state of NJ, Legacy is advocating for the concerns of pharmacies across the country.
